Cold store or cold storage is a room under controlled temperature and humidity to preserve any products or things that can’t be preserved in normal temperature for long time.
The preservation time that a product can be found at its maximum quality is called its self life. The self life differs for each products. The vegetable products which grow under earth surface or soil (potato, carrot, ginger, etc.) generally have more self life (about 6 to 9 months) than the vegetables which grow upon soil (bean, tomato, chili, etc.) (about 3 to 6 weeks).
For commercial cold storage, the minimum capacity should be 1000 MT for vegetables and 50 MT for fish/meat. If you can have more capacity the feasibility will be also more.
